HISTORY

At Galore Park, we strongly feel that pupils should be given a chronological overview of History if they are ever to learn to understand their past. Our course begins at the beginning of time, with chapters on dinosaurs and stoneage men, and takes pupils on a journey through the ancient world before bringing them to Britain at the time of the invasion of the Romans. Pupils in Years 5-8 then learn about the history of the UK from the Anglo-Saxons, through the Middle Ages, and into the Early Modern period, in the order in which our island story unfolded.
